Kyle, truck is looking great (of course) and I'll tell you that rolling with all five windows open is NICE! You get plenty of air flow without feeling like you're in a hurricane.

5k.. all I have ever had was 6k or 8k.. I put 5k in my girls heads and fogs and I really like they way they look and the light output looks better without the blueish tint in them.

I also hit 5000 miles on my truck tonight!

Been a pretty busy day today... Took the day off from work and got a few things done to the truck.. I got her debadged, Ram Head Plasti'd, Ballast mounted correct and took the 2500 Heavy Duty badge and put them on the inside of the doors.

Got my Lamin-x ordered for the fogs and heads.. Bought a new pair of Oakley's and paid a bunch of bills online.......

Got up around 8, started cleaning the house. I'm tired of the bullshit clutter around here. Between the wife and kids............holy fuck. Wife was mad that I took vacation and she wants to do stuff with the kids and I as a family - and I'm cleaning. LOL - I told her, as soon as we get this done, its fun time. Yes me and Dave Discovered all 4 wheels were cracking right above the rims... So when I got back I called my tire guy and he told me that my tires were being recalled because of molding issues. Cooper recalled all Cooper S/T Maxx tires..

I am now running the Cooper S/T.. The S/T Maxx was the newer verison of the S/T and the tire was only in production for 1 month before they did the recall.. I have ran these Cooper S/T's on My 04 Hemi in 35's on my Jeep GC and my 1999 Yukon and I love these tires. they have never done me wrong.

There is no telling when they will get the S/T Maxx fixed so my tire guy said what kinda tires do you want and I told him these so it was all done at no charge.

I would rather the 20" but also I want a wider width on the tires.. and if I go with the new flares I have to get a bigger offset so that the Weels are flush with the Flares... I can't stand to see trucks that have big flares and a 20x8 wheel and the flares stick out way further than the tires.

Alright guys.. So I think i'm going to go with a LED Light Bar, 20" i'm thinking to mount in between the tow hooks on the front of the truck :D It's like dodge made that empty space for me to stick a light bar in there..

I was thinking of doing an actual light bar but I think I would really like the clean look of the LED Bar and it being tucked away in the bumper.

I've been up my ass with my supplier.

I posted up a 42" group buy - but even at 750 I think its out of range for a lot of guys.

I just got a note back from the supplier too, he's working up pricing for me - and they are changing the LEDs from a "standard" type LED to a CREE or OSRAM, so it will be bright as FUCK.

So I have been worried about putting the pocket style flares on my truck with the fear they would look to big.... However I have only ever seen these on the 1500 rams and for the first time I found a picture of a 2500 with these...... Wow IMO these look perfect on the 2500's

Okay..... So here we go

I went to my buddies shop today to get some wheels and tires picked out.. Done! But here is the problem now. I wanted to put the Pocket style flares on my truck but the only way I wanted them was if I could get enough offset tire to make sure the tires were flush with the flares..

Well I was shot down today. By putting my 2" level on there it limits me on how much offset I can go if I don't want front end fabrication because of rubbing issues. So I would not be able to get the tires flush with the flare.. He told me that with the wheel I picked it would stick the tires out about 1 1/2 with no rubbing issues... But the pocket flares extend 2 some odd inches so I wouldnt get the flush look but close to it.

In order for me to get the "Flush look" I would have to go with a 4" Suspension lift and I am not putting a lift on the truck..

So I figured I would just get the Extend-a-flare instead of the pocket style......... But in looking at pictures of them I really don't like the way they look "Bubbled" so Now i'm stuck on what to do.

However I was looking at pictures of this truck (I ripped these pictures from you JJ) and they don't look to bad on this truck... I know it's a 1500 but i'm thinking that they would look close to this.

Pockets especially with a big truck and leveled up the whole point of pockets is to be a little wider so you keep crap Off your ride lol

Yeah I realize that and understand the fucntion of the fender flare. I'm not looking for the tire to be outside of the flare thus not doing it's job.

My point is I don't want the flares engulfing the tires because that looks stupid wearther it's doing it's job or not.

Not like I spend a whole lot of time off road in my truck and really have no use for the flares but for looks

I love the look and I can completely understand about how you want the tires to be as flush as possible with the tires (which is why I'm happy to get your stocks)...hell, if you think about it, that will still keep all the "crap" off your truck...I don't see an issue.

On that truck there is way to much flare and not enough tire.. I know them are little tires and stock 17x8 factory wheels but I'm weird when it comes to shit being proportionate.
