06-14-2012, 11:37 PM

(S.M.R) 101
06-14-2012, 11:40 PM
Not too bad.. there was a lot of dirt and shit... some good 'Ol Fukken took care of that :D

Didn't realize how much shit creeps up under them bitches

0212353
06-14-2012, 11:43 PM

I just wondered if it rubbed your paint off yet LOL

(S.M.R) 101

BMRbrnSNRbrd
06-16-2012, 01:28 PM
Hell yeah. What did you do about the flares?

(S.M.R) 101
06-16-2012, 01:55 PM
They are at my house in NY. I have one other shop that i'm going to try to get prices on monday. But if they try to fuck me around they are prolly coming to you Dave

BMRbrnSNRbrd
06-16-2012, 02:14 PM
Just let me know.

(S.M.R) 101
06-16-2012, 02:18 PM
Will do buddy..

Could you talk to your painter and see how much he would charge and shoot me a text?

0212353
06-16-2012, 03:35 PM
how many flares you need David? LOL

Just curious Kyle - what are they charging you to paint your flares?

BMRbrnSNRbrd
06-16-2012, 04:00 PM
About a dollar more than no way in hell, Jeremy.

(S.M.R) 101
06-16-2012, 05:50 PM
Yeah... Story is, the painter that I use retired last month and handed the shop over to his 25 year old son. So I stopped by and asked him how much.........$100 PER flare...... I told him That's Fuckin crack prices dude.. he told me that "paint went up" after his dad retired... Get fucked

0212353
06-16-2012, 07:31 PM
I hate to say it, $100 a flare seems about right.

The set we did, he was priced $400-$475 for it all. We did 'em for $225. If shipping wasn't stupid, and the risk of damage, well......you see where this is going.

Paint has gone up a bit in the past 6 months, but.......well, not a lot. I had to go up a HAIR, and I mean a hair.

myoung84
06-16-2012, 07:50 PM
Bastards!

(S.M.R) 101
06-16-2012, 09:27 PM
I'd be happy with 50 bucks per flare... a lot of the guys with painted flares up here told me that's about what they all paid...

I'll spend the money shipping them to OK to Dave if these prices don't come down some.

BMRbrnSNRbrd
06-16-2012, 09:47 PM
I should know what my paint guy says by tomorrow or Monday, at the latest.

myoung84
06-16-2012, 11:25 PM
So Dave, are you getting his stock flares?

(S.M.R) 101
06-16-2012, 11:58 PM
Yep I'm hooking Dave up with my flares... They are all boxed up and headed his way next week.

i think it's going to look great with the pockets but something about the flares not being there and the darker gray just being at the bottom squares the truck off and i like that ... maybe you should've pulled the flares first haha jk the pockets will make the truck look mean

BMRbrnSNRbrd
06-24-2012, 01:32 PM

lol I just ordered my CREE reverse lights too! and I got the Cargo LED lights as well.

I'm trying to find some for the plate light but i'm not sure if Todd at Retro's are can-bus proof... the ones I bought for my 08 ram, 1 of the lights flickered after about 2 minutes of use.. Found out it was something with the canbus wire system because I put them on my brothers Tahoe and they worked perfect.

The search continues

are they the same color as the bottom or are they black?

(S.M.R) 101
06-27-2012, 03:29 PM
Same color.... They are about a shade off of the stock paint... Which is weird because it's the same paint that is on the rockers... But it might be the way the light is hitting it.. When I test fit them on the other side with the sun it was very very close to the color.. Not noticable at first glance.. you'd really have to look to see it

06-29-2012, 09:32 AM
Which model are they again and what's the offset? I really want a 34-35" tire and I might need a little less offset since I still need to be able to do this:

point the LEDs out.

Takes a few minutes to get it right, as the bulbs only fit "right" in one side, so - just make sure its good!

When you look at it from the back, you should see 2 LEDs looking you dead in the eye.

Kyle, would you mind taking some measurements for me? From what I gather, the 4th gen PW is not lifted from the factory near as much as the 3rd gen. With your 2" level, you should theoretically be the same height as me in the front, but I suspect that's not the case.

I need the height from the ground to the top of the tire and the height from the ground to the bottom of the fender on all 4 corners. I'll measure mine this evening and post up the results so we can compare.

I have 2 bars headed my way for my truck.

Now, they are the small ones, 7" - but they should fit great behind the grill. 2800 lumens each. That'll do.

As for the mods, I don't hide shit from the wife anymore. She started to give me shit when I bought the hood and I told her that I had a GREAT month in April. I mean GREAT. Tax season rocked. I banked what I wanted to that month, AND got the hood.

After starting the business, she leaves me alone. I work hard for my play money damnit. :D

She'd shit if she knew how much I have spent this year though......and this is just the shit I can remember:
Wheels / Tires - 1800
Hood / CAI / Paint - 1400
Radio - 325
Body lift - 125

Tires: 31 3/4"

Front Driver: 41 3/4"

Front Pass 41 1/2"

$ Tinted tails coming from you
$4,425 Thats all just the last month...

Thanks Kyle! Once you deduct the extra 1/4" for your tires and 2" for your front level, the Wagons look to be lifted a whopping 1" in the front and none in the rear... This assumes that your 2" lift gave you exactly 2". If it's any less than that, then the Wagons are lifted even less than 1"...

Soooo...... I would like to get some bigger tires as some of you know... 295/60/20

I'm looking at about 1500 bucks for the rubbers and don't think a set of 20" M/T tires will move very fast, me selling the old ones.. I only have 375 miles on these but Idk what to do now..

What are you guy's feelings? and be honest with me.. Do the tires look to small on the truck or is it just me?

myoung84
07-20-2012, 10:28 PM
That's a tough call. I think they look good but bigger would look better, if that makes any sense. Will your tire shop help you out any?

You should try and post them on Craigslist before you order new ones and see what kind of bites you get.

(S.M.R) 101
07-20-2012, 10:49 PM
I am going to try and contact the shop that put my level kit on and see if they will swap my tires but the owner corey is kind of a dick so I'm not going to bank on him agreeing to do that.

My next option would be craigslist..

BMRbrnSNRbrd
07-20-2012, 10:55 PM
I personally like them. Here's my honest opinion:

Compared to Morgan's truck, yes, you need bigger tires. However, Morgan's truck has more of a rough tough offroad look to it, which I do like.

Compared to that, your truck has (and I mean this VERY lightly and non-offensively) more of a street lifted truck. It's (you're going to hate me) prettier. I really like the look of your truck and I think the ends do not justify the means.

(S.M.R) 101
07-20-2012, 11:15 PM
No, I agree dave. I was totally going for the offroad/street truck.. and at some views I love how the truck looks.. But other times I look at it and the tires just don't look right...

I'm just looking into it way to hard... Almost like i'm trying to find a reason to bitch about something... I have had so many people come up to me and tell me my truck is perfect that they would not change a thing... But I just don't see it lol

(S.M.R) 101
07-20-2012, 11:19 PM
Even if I do go with a 295/60..... I would probably rub the bottom rocker...

Think I would?

myoung84
07-20-2012, 11:26 PM
Mine comes very close in that exact spot. I think it does rub a tiny bit, I saw some scuff marks on the plastic earlier, but only on the driver side. And I agree with Dave, you truck has more of an elegant look to it with the painted flares and grille. Like I said before, your current tires look great as is. Unless you can get them swapped out for cheap, I'd keep them.

myoung84
07-20-2012, 11:27 PM
Also, keep in mind the 295/60 would be about 1 to 1.5" narrower than what you have now.

Well why don't we take some rolling shots of your truck when I'm down there in the next few weeks I'll have someone drive my rental car while I'm in the passenger seat seat taking pictures of your truck while you're hauling some ass

So got around to doing some stuff to the truck and got my 22" LED Light bar in.

Thought I'd share some pictures.. I'll have pictures of the paint with the tires on tomorrow. It got too dark today.

I was only test fitting..... It is going to be a bitch to mount this thing and I have to come up with something but it could be awhile before I get it mounted.

I wish I knew of an easy way to mount these fuckers.......

Kyle, I wonder if we could come up with a way to actually put it behind that gap? I know you were only test fitting, but by the looks of it you wouldn't lose any light output that way and it would look very clean.

I like that idea!

08-16-2012, 09:31 AM
Yep that is my plan.. I'm going to take out the semi grill thing that is down there and flip the light bar upside down and I am going to try and mount it to the metal sheet that the grille thing is bolted too.

I'm going to take some pictures of that ares later and see if you guys have any suggestions as well.

You should be able to mount behind the bumper and fab up some sort of bracket that attaches behind the tow hooks...

Kyle does not "Fab" lol...

I will try and figure something out

Dude, if you were here we could knock it out quick. There is a guy down the way from me that can cut, bend, weld, etc anything you want...and rarely charges me.

Alright guys.... I need some thinking and some help from you all..

Here are some pictures of what I'm dealing with, trying to mount my light bar.. As you can see I don't have much to work with

http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x355/Kyle_Andress/20120816_195444.jpg

And as you can see the bumper has a curve to it so the light will not sit flush with the bumper so it will have to sit about 1 inch inside the bumper......

This is going to suck

Ohhh and another thing...... My fucking truck doesn't have a factory skid plate on it.... All outdoorsmans are suppose to come with them..

It's even in my build sheet....

I'm selling the truck and going to buy a chevy... tired of getting ripped off by RAM

0212353

I can see the skidplate in your sigpic?

Any luck on the bar? I'd think something will have to be tied into the tow hooks?

What skid plate are you missing?

(S.M.R) 101

I was thinking the same with the tow hooks... it seems it would be the simplest place to put it..... now I just have to figure out how to fab one up.

If I went with a 30" bracket I might be able to fashion something up

Haha.. Thanks JJ..

I blacked out the Ram Head on the Tailgate.. Nothing special.. Tell you the truth, Don't know why I waited so long to do it..

Yeah I sat in front of the truck for an hour yesterday trying to figure something out.. A Company makes kits for the 3rd Gen rams to fit the light bar in the lower portion of the grill.. But nothing for 4th Gen yet..

Rigid makes kits for Raptor, F250-F350 and Chevy...... But no Ram kit wtf.......

So the planning continues

So I think I can make this work... if I go with the 30" bracket i'm pretty sure I can get it to the plow brackets... (My truck is part of the plow group) Just found that out after I was looking for places to mount something and seen two brackets coming from the frame.

34 bucks and I can fab it if need be..
