View Full Version : T-Shirt interest?

Just curious who would be interested in a t-shirt for ORC? The only thing I can tell you for sure is that they would be around $15 or so but made using a high quality t-shirt. They would most likely be a lighter color as the screener I found can do individual t-shirts in light colors but requires an order of at least 15 shirts in darker colors. Standard sizes would be available. The design will be posted before any money is taken or shirts ordered. Thoughts?

i've had 1 off custom shirts made right down the road for 20 and under so if we decide to do black or a dark color i know a place ...

like i had this one done for the playoffs 2 years ago lol this was yellow trimmed in purple and then the logo is on the back up by the collar area for only 20 bucks and i think part of that was bc the time crunch lol bc i needed it in like 2-3 days

if we can nail down a couple ideas the place i go to will do all the hard work and they are priced very reasonably ... might get a poll up in a bit

BMRbrnSNRbrd

What kind of ideas do you guys have? Personally, here's what I'm thinking:

Charcoal colored shirt
Either the Oklahoma map w/ Ram head like on the sticker OR OklaRams.com on the left breast area
A large version of the logo on the back but with a little more flare

Please give any and all ideas until we can knock out the likes and dislikes. I think the best bet is going with one design at first so we can get them knocked out and maybe expand a bit eventually.

The ram head will be in the middle of the state like the sticker right?

And what was the font called thats on the stickers? I think that would be better

I would be down for that Dave.. Looks good dude..

and maybe a long Sleeve for the colder weather (future thinking) but you could rock O.R.C down one of the arms

Just a thought

Matt
01-23-2012, 02:24 AM
i think that is super plain looking though and this is only my opinion but i think it would be cool to have an actual ram on it somewhere nothing super detailed to keep the cost down but maybe the outline of a 3rd or 4th gen quad cab on the back with the website link under it for the front i'd do the outline of the state with orc inside it

Matt
01-23-2012, 02:28 AM
or this might be a cool idea .. have a picture of all 4 generations of ram

I wouldn't do members trucks just bc I'm sure someone will be butt hurt... But that's just my opinion

ramthis9501
01-23-2012, 03:26 PM
Yeah I agree. Plus outlines of the trucks would be cheaper to do I'd imagine. Can't wait to see what you got in store Dave!

BMRbrnSNRbrd

What I have in store incorporates the outline idea and the four generations idea...

I did this a while back for someone wanting to start a truck club in Tulsa:

This takes a LOT of time, believe it or not, so if it sucks, let me know so I don't do the other three generations...

front bumper looks like it's floating, otherwise very nice! i like it

BMRbrnSNRbrd
01-23-2012, 07:25 PM
Like I need to add tires as well?

DoubleTakeDodge
01-23-2012, 07:27 PM
try maybe moving the bumper up just a little bit so that it overlaps the front clip a tiny bit and add tire silhouettes behind the bumper. I think that'd pull it together!

BMRbrnSNRbrd
01-23-2012, 07:31 PM
I'll probably leave the bumper there as that's directly from a picture of a first gen front end...I think adding tires might help.

DoubleTakeDodge
01-23-2012, 07:48 PM
Oh ok, gotcha. I didn't know it was directly from a firstgen pic. This is all i meant by raising the bumper though.. Just to close that very thin gap created when the pic is taken slightly downward. I figured this would be like if the camera was at a lower position so that the bumper apeared in front of the bottom body line.

01-23-2012, 07:56 PM
Ah, I gotcha buddy and I'll definitely adjust it. Anyone else have an opinion on this idea? I was thinking "OklaRams.com" across the back with the four front ends lined up below it. They will be smaller, but will still look good, I think.

i think 4 side view or 4 angled views would be better i know it would be more work but i think it would look better ... i think it would be worth it in the long run just my opinion

as a matter of fact tomorrow i'll call the t-shirt guy again he's done alot of shirts for me with graphics just grabbed from the net and they come out great i really like how much detail is in the first shirt that i posted as well and if he can do something like that

ramthis9501
01-23-2012, 10:19 PM
Very nice Dave, I think the front or angled view would look good. Either way this is gonna be awesome! And I'd definitely rock the shirt and hoodie!

OklaHemi
01-23-2012, 10:23 PM
i agree with matt, i think the angle on most of these sigs would look killer

BMRbrnSNRbrd
01-25-2012, 06:14 PM
Alright guys, getting a little frustrated and need some input...

I agree that we need to go with the 3/4 angle instead of the straight on angle. Now how much detail do you want? You saw what I did with VERY little detail on that car club logo but at that point it may be very hard to differentiate between a 2nd and 3rd gen. So, try that or maybe something a little more like this:

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj60/BMRbrnSNRbrd/Photoshop%20stuff/firstgensimpleoutline.jpg

That's a first gen but, again, it'll be hard to differentiate a 2nd and 3rd gen. The second gen grill was pissing me off because I couldn't get it to look right.

Is that a good level of detail (pretty minimal) or do you guys want something more like the front shots I posted, but just at the 3/4 angle? If that's what you like, how much detail? Just front end, body line, fender lines, doors? Add glass? Go as far as fuel doors and tail lights?

ramthis9501
01-25-2012, 06:24 PM
I don't think it needs to be crazy detailed but the doors, glass, wheels and body lines will be good enough IMO.

Matt
01-25-2012, 07:10 PM
so i just talked to him 14-15 bucks a shirt if we do atleast 12 (to avoid screenprint setup costs) if we do a single color and he said he can get quite a bit of detail in that
i showed him the picture that i posted a couple pages ago and he said he could do something like that ... i honestly think thats the way to go .. it would save you a ton of trouble david from having to do stuff in photoshop and we could have a finalized design alot quicker as well and we can do it in a black shirt or gray ... this is including the text below the 4 trucks as well and a orc decal on the front chest area

also another idea i thought about is instead of copying the layout of how that other shirt was it would be cool to have all four trucks parked angled next to each other

http://image.minitruckinweb.com/f/editorials/havoc-ky-truck-show/10596540%2Bcr1%2Bre0%2Bar1/havoc-truck-show.jpg

something like this but angled the other way and have the angle a little more from the front so you can see the whole front and part of the side and have oklarams.com under that ... i think would look sick

BMRbrnSNRbrd
01-25-2012, 07:40 PM
Hell yeah Matt! Now...where to get some trucks that aren't members trucks?

Matt
01-25-2012, 08:05 PM
What about 4 stock trucks ?

BMRbrnSNRbrd
01-25-2012, 09:07 PM
That's what I think too. Are you just talking about taking some off of Google and 'shopping them together or actually finding four trucks for a pic?

Matt
01-25-2012, 09:10 PM
No 4 trucks chopped together and they said they'll do that

ramthis9501
01-25-2012, 09:25 PM
Sweet that'll work! 4 stock trucks would be the best. Just make sure they got some 20's on them ;)

Matt
01-25-2012, 09:43 PM
