So I have a firearms class in the fall and I have to have at least 700 rounds for my handgun by then. Where in the hell am I going to come up with it? I have a source for reload but I'm 99% positive I can't use it. How long is all this backorder supposed to last?

Yes...yes it is. I found some AR style clips the other day that were close to non panic proces so I purchased 3...24 hours later all 250 were gone.

Wonder if we should start a thread to network ammo/clip sites.

Well Oklahoma voted for the "other side" the last two presidential elections. Regardless of your politcal beliefs, but with the current "gun climate" how much ammo do you think they want us to have? :)
I was shocked when a local PD was having an ammo supply issue.
Al I can wish for you David, is that things stabilize by June. It could be a long hot summer.

I'm better now. I just acquired 900 rounds of Remington 9mm. I paid more than "normal" but I fear there will be a new normal after this all settles down.

Right now it's all about right place, right time. Was in the same boat, then a friend saw some as it was coming out of the stock room at a local wal mart.....I bought 3 boxes (limit) of 100 Federal, my wife bought 3 boxes, and my frind who alerted us, bought 1 for him, and 2 for us. Went from no 9mm, to 800 rounds in a matter of minutes. I got lucky. Hope I get lucky again, almost out again......

if you stop by academy when they first open on the days they get trucks you can get a box of ammo. 1 per caliber (sucks) but it is normal price. hard to do when you work early in the morning though. don't be surprised if you do go there will be a line of people out there waiting to buy it all up. you guys ever get on armslist and look?
