Haha I am from Oklahoma! And I've seen tons of vette rollpans too. But everyone where I'm from is either too poor to I with a whole vette rear end or has the common decency not to do that to their poor truck! haha

Fair enough.

Just to let everyone know what I'm ACTUALLY doing: I originally purchased a full set of led tails with clear lenses (yes, the type that look like they belong on the back of a Civic) with the intention of separating them. I separated them, but the lenses cracked and are now worthless. I also have a second full set of OEM tails that I have separated successfully. My original plan was to paint the OEM buckets to match my headlights and then put the clear lenses on them. Obviously I can't do that now because the clear lenses are trashed.

So, my new idea: When I'm done I will have a set of tails that are LED with OEM lenses on them. I'm also tinting the OEM lenses on the inside so that they will maintain a stock glossy finish (without the hassle of having to clear, wetsand, buff, etc) and therefore cannot be scratched or start to wear due to weather conditions. I'm also going to add one other custom detail that will have to be a surprise, assuming I like it enough to keep it.

I like that idea alot. Too bad your original plan didn't turn out, I really wanted to see the finished product but I can't wait to see the new plan when it's done!

Here are the OEM lenses laying on top of the LED buckets. They match up great! Now I just have to tint the lenses and install the other stuff.

Hmmm.... I'm still curious as to "the other stuff"... I have an idea but I feel it's pretty unlikely lol

You're doing an octagonal exhaust setup right? One pipe from each cylinder? Haha
