Met Colton today
Went to Coffee & Cars on Sat Mar 3rd, met Colton and his dad. They invited me to join in the conversation, so here I am!
My truck is a personalized '98 Ram 1500. Starting early last year, I've had a new custom leather interior put in, new headlights and tail lights, new stereo, new Gibson exhaust; and chrome wheels and a cap were added shortly after I got the truck back in 2000. It was wrecked and repaired by the original owner (went into a ditch) and I got it from the 2nd owner who did brief me on the damage.
I added a pretty neat grill setup that lays over the existing factory grill and driving lights and grill guard are new too. I'll post some photos soon for those that might be interested.

A bad ass Ram and plenty of free time to enjoy it. Sounds good to me any day of the week. Welcome to the club Steve, your tuck looks pretty slick. It sounds like you are a man who knows what he is doing, is this your first Ram?

It's my first Ram. My first pickup was a '62 Chevy. It had a back yard paint job that was OK at best. The truck was bright red with cream accents, was loaded! Yes, it had a heater! It also had 5 pieces of chrome: 2 wipers, 2 door handles, and 1 gas cap!
2nd truck was a mid 80s Silverado. This was a bit nicer, was black and silver. Drove it to DFW airport many times for my pilot job at AA, when I couldn't get a jump seat.
The Ram came along in 2000, and it was pretty nice when I got it. Wanted the quad doors in order to put my suitcase behind the driver's seat when I had to work. Put lotsa miles on it (117000 or so now) and wore out the driver's leather seat. Wanted to get a newer used 4x4, but I would've been making payments all the way to the cemetary! Decided instead to pour money into the '98 since I knew it's history, it was paid for, and I liked it! I've added aftermarket gauges and an entire new interior...see photos.
