Here;s the post I just made on DT and RF.

I stopped by one of my local dealers yesterday to poke around and look at what they had in stock. The sales guy comes out, tell him I'm just looking and he says they just got an EcoDiesel in if I want to drive it. Hell yes I do. LOL. It was a Laramie 2wd with 3.55 gears. I have to say I was impressed. It's a bit sluggish off the line (which is to be expected with a small turbo diesel) but once the turbo spools up it moves pretty good. The sales guy was really trying to push a diesel on me. We went ahead a sat down with the manager and worked the numbers on the diesel and Hemi and there's a huge difference. Not only is the diesel $2850 more than the Hemi, but most of the current rebates are not eligible on the diesel. So I was looking at about $6k more for the diesel option. They also force the 20" wheels with the diesel on the Outdoorsman model which I was not planning on ordering, another $1400. Given the low amount of miles I drive a year (~15k) it will take about 7 years to see a payback. So, Hemi it was!

I really wanted to like the Sport model but the Outdoorsman kept drawing me back in. I think it's a better fit for what I want. The interior isn't quite as nice as the Sport but it's still looks great. Only thing I think I'll really miss is the Keyless Go. I love it on my Jeep but I guess I can live with an old fashioned key. LOL. Price wise, it's about the same either way since I'll be adding the OEM projectors (with some possible painting) and new tires right after I take delivery. Stock 17" wheels will stay for now. Below are some renderings of my plans. First is stock, second is new lights, then color matched bumpers, and new wheels. Tires will be a 285/70/17, most likely Toyo AT II.

Details on what I ordered: Outdoorsman, Crew Cab, 6'4" bed, 4x4, monotone granite, bucket seats, trailer brake controller, backup cam, 8.4AN, 3.92 gears, and comfort group (heated wheel and seats). Didn't opt for the extras like sunroof, Alpine stereo, RamBox, or air suspension. I ended up getting a decent trade appraisal. Not great but not terrible. I still have about 8 weeks to sell the truck so hopefully someone will buy it before I take delivery so I don't have to worry about trading.

Now I just have to wait!
