I'd love to have a saltwater tank, but don't want to put that kind of time into it. I don't put any chemicals in it at all, even when I fill it with fresh tap water (which included about 15-18 gallons after cleaning). I also only clean it about every 6 months. My sucker fish does a pretty good job at keeping the glass clean.

I checked the levels (low pH, high pH, nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia) on Sunday and everything was absolutely perfect. It had been over a year since I last checked the levels. Not bad at all for a tank I put zero effort in to.
