I understand now. I would've thought as long as the strker and latch would have been parallel it should function. Easy fix as long as the paint or PC doesn't crack.

Strange...of you have the U-shaped stiker the bolt you screwed into the door should have worked. You shut your door against that bolt like you would normaly and the latch engages the bolt and wraps...

I wonder why that model doesn't go through the latch like the striker bolt does. You have a striker (u-shaped) for the latch right?
