Here's my latest mods. First is a Carli low mount opposing steering stabilizer. I had some pretty bad left pull with the Cooper tires, even when the caster was fully adjusted to compensate. This cured it 100%. Didn't even need to adjust the pressure, the 200 psi that the stabilizer ships with was perfect. The power wagon skid plate doesn't fit when this is installed but I made it work by shimming the plate down a bit on the center axle bolts. Fits great now.

Next up is my new exhaust.I got a little tired of the 14" Magnaflow so I went with a bigger bodied 24" Magnaflow. I think it sounds better than the old 14, it's quieter and deeper sounding. I did this in my driveway in about 30 minutes with some stainless band clamps, pre-made turn down, and an adjustable hanger. I also used a little copper RTV to ensure no leaks.

Didn't want it going over the rear axle then dump?

myoung84 01-14-2014 07:30 PM

Since I was doing it myself, I just dumped it after the muffler. The pipe I had before was a little hacked up from the last install I had done. Didn't want to reuse it.

Are the clamps working well?

Clamps are working out great. No leaks at all.

I decided to reinstall my tailpipe extension from the old exhaust to the new one. I was getting some low speed drone with it being dumped after the muffler and was also getting some exhaust fumes in the cab with the back door open (putting the kiddo in the car seat) so both needed to be resolved. The outlet of the new muffler was in the same place as the old one so the length of the old pipe was perfect. It's just a little quieter and all the drone is gone. Took me about 5 minutes to do because of the clamps.
