That sucked...

So I went out to my truck after school to leave and guess what, it was dead. Remember the thread I put about wiring my lights behind the grille into an acc. wire? Well I'm gonna be doing that soon cause I left the stupid things on all day. Had my friend take me home and get some jumper cables, went back and jumped it. Got it started but it wouldn't stay running without keeping it revved up. So I drove home with my foot on the gas the whole time. Got it in the garage on the charger now, hoping it'll charge up and isn't shot. I'll let you all know later when it gets done charging

I hate days like that... Hope your battery comes back to life! Get those lights rewired!

That is one of the added benefits of the newer trucks that kill most powered accessories after a certain time limit expires.

I'm going to rewire it for sure. I already found that blue wire under the steering wheel, just have to do it. So I guess I need to wire the power wire coming from the battery to the accessory wire right?

Never time to do it right until it's time to do it over...which usually costs you 3x as much in time/money.
We've all done it once though...

This is my one time exception lol

Well I've had it on the charger for almost 3 hours now and it still hasn't moved on the charger. Still at 4 amps, and I checked it with a volt meter, it's pumping 27 volts in to the battery

Mine was when I did the e-fan on my '04...could have easily (and almost did) cost me a new fuse block.
