Finally got the truck offroad for some real wheeling. Spent a couple of hours driving around Cam Gruber on Saturday. It was a pretty nice place, but 90% of the trails were ATV trails, or Jeeps who didn't mind lots of scratches. Most of what I did was playing under the power lines. Doesn't look as steep in the pics as it actually was. Had a lot of fun and no body damage!

Damn some of those look like they should hurt.

BTW, any problem getting the lockers to lock or the sway bar to unlock? I know some guys were having trouble with one of those.

It's amazing that nothing rubbed. In some of the first few pics, two tires were off the ground just a hair. I am amazed that it made it over that ditch without scraping anything. I was really worried about scraping the powerboards since it's such a long wheel base, but they noever touched anything. I did scrape some skid plates on some rocks, but never the powerboards. And if you look at the red stripes on the side with it fully flexed out, there is absolutely no alignment differences between the cab and bed. This is a strong ass frame!!

My lockers are getting better. Still takes a little to get the rear to lock up but the front seems a little better. I only cycled the rear locker a couple times, most of the time it stayed locked up. This thing is a flat out beast when all 4 are locked up.

I will say that a 2" lift and 35's would make it a ton better... And it was pretty apparent that I need a front diff guard...

Having my 2" level installed next week :D

Sorry Bastard! I'll have to lift the rear the same as the front. My ATV drops it 1.5" and my boat another 0.5" which puts me level. Don't want to mess with airbags or add-a-leafs since it will affect off-road ability...

I'm pretty sure your truck sits higher than mine does dude... looking at pictures your truck def seems taller than mine..

might be cuz you have the bilstein shocks?

The Power Wagons supposedly have taller front springs and a 2" lift block on the rear. I'm at 40.5" front and 42.5" rear with 31.75" tires. Shocks won't give you any lift.

I just want the fron to sit level... but don't know if the 2" will make it level or not.. I have been thinking of doing the 3" kit but i'm not sure.

2" should get you pretty close. After that, you're going to start getting expensive since you really need longer control arms. Right now if I lift my front 2" I'll have to spend another $700 on control arms...

Yeah i'm also going with taller shocks to be able to facilitate the extra 2"

I'd like to get the 2" Carli kit but didn't want to spend the 800+ on it lol but I will prolly order that Diff cover.. 160 is not bad at all

I really need the diff guard. I was pushing a lot of dirt around with the diff this weekend. It would have sucked to pop a hole in the cover...

Yeah that would have sucked... I don't drive on the pipeline ROW's with my truck very much because of the company truck but every once in awhile I like to take it out to have fun :D

myoung84

Yeah, I noticed some rocks getting a little close to the center caps and decided to pull them off before they got smashed.
