Well, a few changes!

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f210/0212353/jjtintedtails2.jpg

Nabbed a set of 20" XD Hoss wheels wrapped with 295/60/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers. :rockit:

hell no, I love that stripe.

Only thing I would change.......would be the word HEMI on it, can't really see it. I want it outlined in silver.

Then I vote Thursday!

0212353
02-21-2012, 09:33 AM
I would love that...........

but it depends on weather and my painter. LOL - I am not doing this in my garage with a f'n 4 way. I'm going to go to his place and zap them on. I wanted to do it Wednesday night, but he's painting some asshat's lights that night (damn me getting in my own way!) so I can't use the air when he is. Derrrrrrr...........

At the latest, I'll run it out there Sat morning and do it.

Lets just say that over the last weekend I paid for 2/3 of this wheel / tire setup in my headlight sales. :D

02-22-2012, 11:06 AM
there ya go, work equals play!

0212353
02-22-2012, 10:35 PM
so, they came in today..........

no lug nuts, no spacers, and one is nicked. FedEx claim in progress, we'll see how this shit goes.

One of the wheels didn't have the cardboard on it. Happened to be the one that the goodies were taped to......nuts and spacers.

UGH!

So, FedEx can drag their damn feet on this shit now...........who knows when the hell this will go down.

I listed the fuckers on Craigslist tonight. If they sell before FedEx makes up their mind........whatever.

Sorry to hear this! Fukk FedEx!

0212353
02-22-2012, 11:07 PM
I don't know what is worse...........FedEx today, or dropping 180 bucks to ship 2 boxes to Canada. WTF? I think this bitch screwed me sideways.............most of the time shipping headlights to Canada is like 70-75, not 92 fucking 40 on one set!

0212353
02-23-2012, 05:59 PM
FedEx told me they were not insured. He said $2,000. So.......fun!

myoung84
02-23-2012, 06:20 PM
Double lame!

BMRbrnSNRbrd
02-23-2012, 07:02 PM
Fuck me...dude, what the fuck?

0212353
02-23-2012, 08:06 PM
ok, the lady last night was an idiot.

They ARE insured, $500 per.

So, here's what they are doing now........they will pick up the one tomorrow. It will go to the local depot (15 minutes away). It will be inspected. A search and find ticket will go to 3 depots (STL, Ohio and NY - all 3 it hit) to find the missing lug nuts and spacers.

Then we get to see what they are going to do............

I guess 2-4 weeks of lameness.

myoung84
02-23-2012, 09:35 PM
At least there were in fact insured and they are doing something about it. Hope it gets resolved soon...

0212353
02-23-2012, 09:53 PM
me too.

But, lets be honest...........I would bet that most of us have dealt with shipping claims. They don't end well for us.

Kyle's light........waited 3 f'n weeks to just hear "no". They didn't even ask to see it. I just want to put the things on, I hate that they are sitting in storage, and one will go back to FedEx and SIT until they decide what to do. I wanted to put them on tonight!

BMRbrnSNRbrd
02-23-2012, 09:56 PM
At least it's better than previously thought.

0212353
02-23-2012, 09:59 PM
Yeah.

I'm glad I called back today. The lady I talked to today said that the one the claim is set up, they would have shipped the one back to him after inspection. Ummmm.............what? So I have 3, he has 1. Thats smart. THEN if they don't pay the claim, he has to pay to ship it back to me (if we came to an agreement on terms). OR......well, these other 3 gotta go back.

This is my MOST expensive mod so far, and it is just sitting. It kills me like you wouldn't believe.

0212353
02-25-2012, 12:43 AM
worked a deal with the seller. I really didn't want these going back to FedEx.

So, ordered the lugs and spacers............they'll go on the truck next week sometime!!

BMRbrnSNRbrd
02-25-2012, 11:38 AM
Nice dude...forget trying to work with Fedex.

0212353
02-25-2012, 11:49 AM
I already knew what would happen. They would wait for a week or so to "try" to find the parts.........and then they would deny the claim for poor packaging.

I bought a new set of lugs for $31 and spacers for $16. Local was 2-3x that........so I'll wait a short bit to get 'em in.

0212353
02-29-2012, 05:53 PM

nope, I'm a SEMA virgin.......

Well, not quite. I did do a fixer upper on a set of lights that went to SEMA last year. But, the original work on that set was not mine, I just replaced the housing and fixed a few things on them.

0212353
03-02-2012, 10:59 PM
5100s or 1.25 body lift?

Here's my dilemma........
5100s would cost me about 225 shipped. Plus labor..........plus alignment. (no, I'm not doing the labor on that, its not worth my time)

Body lift.......$118 shipped to me. Labor looks easier, I could do it. No alignment needed after.

I guess I need to measure my fuckin' clearance on the garage first. LOL

03-02-2012, 11:08 PM
Looking awesome JJ

myoung84
03-03-2012, 10:59 AM
How close are you to being level? You have a 2" spacer up front don't you? For the money and ease of installation, I would go with the body lift. Then you can always add the 5100s later if needed.

And why isn't your step going all the way up?

0212353
03-03-2012, 11:02 AM
2" and yeah - thinking about that BL.....

Step........right - thats driving me nuts too. I gotta get under there and take a look. I noticed it the other day and thought "WTF?"

myoung84
03-03-2012, 11:18 AM
There's also two different versions of the arms. I went through this when one of mine broke and the sent me an early version and it doesn't go up as much and of course isn't compatable with the new revision. Look at the rubber stoppers, I think the latest ones will have one black and one grey stopper. Might have to scrape some crap off since the grey might look black, that's how I ended up with the wrong one. Mine suck all the way to the pinch weod with no gap at all.

0212353

0212353
03-05-2012, 10:40 PM
nope, this would be a body lift - decided not to take out the level and put 5100s in. But, it seems that I could do both - but I don't want to screw with that front end!

BMRbrnSNRbrd
03-05-2012, 10:51 PM
I think if you could just bring the nose up a bit it would be perfect.

0212353
03-05-2012, 10:56 PM
I was looking at it a little bit............tossing the 5100s vs the BL. I think with the beefcakiness of the tires, a BL would be better than .8" more lift in the front - and taking the chance of a lovely vibration in 4wd. The BL is also cheaper, easier to do, and gets me higher. LOL

0212353
03-08-2012, 01:37 AM

Much better! Sweet talk that painter or yours into painting your chrome bumpers.

0212353
03-08-2012, 10:46 AM
I already have my cost on that.

New bumpers............I wouldn't paint these. both have a couple small dinks in them. So, new bumpers, in primer. $400-$480. Paint, $200.

What sucks..........I know we will have the bumpers off when we do the BL. BUT, I just don't want to drop another $700 right now. I just dropped over 2 grand in the past month into her, with the new wheels / tires / head unit. I hate to say it, I almost like the chrome.
