I agree with the other folks about using a 52mm on a 5.2, but I left you a good offer if you can score it.

Yeah Al I saw it, that is a real good deal. I'll definitely keep it in mind.

So will a ported and polished 50 mm be pretty similar to the 52 mm performance wise?

Well, I thought you already had one close at hand. Fastman really recommends the 50 mm for 5.2 apps. I know the mod ( I did myself) helped my truck. You can find it in the z under 5.2 mods. Or DF.

Ok thanks. Like I said, I'll start my search tomorrow and let you know when I find one. That deal would work out for the both of us!

Well after ALOT of research on all this, I decided to go with the 50mm instead since its recommended for the 5.2. Found a guy that rebuilds stock throttle bodies into 50 & 52mm. He also does other sizes to and they are great deals! PM me if you want to get the info for contacting him.

Just sent the money so it should be here this coming week sometime! I'll post pics and update this thread to let you all know how it does!

You'll like the 50 mm on your truck, but as others have suggested, you'll need a tuner like an SCT to wring the best out of it.

The CAI had to be a pain of course, it took forever to get that stupid thing back on but we got it! Just got back from driving it and all I can say is WOW!! It is a night and day difference on throttle response! And Im gonna be easy on the throttle like the directions said so it'll relearn the new mod quicker.... for 20 miles :D
