So I got in my truck tonight and fired it up and when I tried to take off, i pressed the accelerator and it was all the way down on the floor board. I reached down and tried to pull it up to its normal position but it fell right back down to the floor. When I got up under the stearing wheel, in the cab the string that was connected at the top of the pedal wasn't pulled tight and I am sure that has something to do with it. Here is a picture of what it kinda looks like.

When I went under the hood and turned the throttle, it reved up like nothing was wrong. Any ideas?

Picture didnt show up... Did you check and make sure it didn't come loose at the throttle body under the hood? That might be it.

was on top of the little back thing in the middle, instead of underneath it in the little grove. So I moved it underneath and it tightened everything up and now its back to normal. Is there anyway to tighten your accelerator. Its back to normal now but the accelerator is lower than the break, I don't know if thats normal or what. Thanks Colton for the help

Awesome glad you got it fixed. These trucks are typical for doing that. I think my accelerator is lower then my brake to. I'll check to make sure after school later.

Pictures showed up haha I looked at mine and the accelerator sits lower then the brake. So nothing to worry about there.

So does the throttle response seem normal again?

Yeah man it does. When I put that cord back ( I don't know the technical term for it so that is why I keep calling it a cord) everything was back to normal. I guess I knocked it lose taking off the intake earlier. From someone that has only used an AEM intake on my first truck, what would be a cold air intake you would suggest? I am going to post a thread to see what other think but I figured I would ask you, fellow 2nd gen!
