Am I the only one that hopes and prays(beyond all good sense and reality) that Dodge makes a 6.4L ram? theyre claiming 23 MPG on the 300c SRT8,I guess theyre multi-cylinder shutoff technology is really coming up in the world. If they made one, I'd honestly consider trading in my pickup for it. Just saying. ahhh, to dream

I called it a few months ago that IF there's another SRT Ram it would be in the form of an -8 instead of the traditional -10. I think there's a good chance they'll do it but it won't get the same mileage as the LX platformed 392s.

I bet they'll do it eventually, I just hope it happens soon!

Yea I don't expect 23 by any means but at 470 hp I'd settle for 20, and if they could squeeze it with a single cab.. Maybe 21? With the technology, I don't think it's too much to ask. But the more I think of it the more I drool.

I hope they figure out a way to transfer the MDS technology to the viper motor. Ahhh I'd love that.

just bc they stick 20 on the windshield doesn't mean ANY of us will get 20 with normal driving

I'll take a 392 in a Ram! My window sticker says 20 on my truck but that is very hard to obtain, especially with my heavier tires.

Yea that's no lie. I think I average.. Well, that's not important..

I would be happy to at least see them put the 6.1 in the trucks at the very least.

It would take more than a motor to pull my keys. Gas mileage(i.e. the cylinder shut down working at 80mph) not 70...less wind noise(huge profile=huge wind drag), an even smoother ride....better upgraded tunes....better interior upholstry with more more cushion and support...built in mini-guns...490 hp would be nice though.
damn, maybe I should be looking a cadillacs instead, lol.

Bottom line...I love my truck, and for a daily driver and road trip-warrior, it's damn near perfect.

I was reading an article at the dealership when I brought my truck in for maintenance. Ralph Giles said that the Viper could be coming back and could have another power train in addition to the 8.3L... Who knows, they may have a 392 RT/8...? Ha, or a 6.7 CTD lol...
