I'm thinking of painting my calipers red this week when we change the brakes. Think it'll look good? And Advanced Auto has the kit for like $10 right?

Or you could get a small can of the Rustoleum Sunrise Red and a couple sponge brushes.

The only thing that would stop me from doing that on a 2nd gen is the drums on the back. I dont think big red drums would be too attractive. On my 01 I did black all around when I put the 20's on it and it looked good. I vote black

Forgot they had drums. I change my vote to what Mike said.

That is true... so black all the way around? And is it pretty easy to paint the drums?

I agree, big red drums won't look the best.

I have red calipers and black rear drums and get compliments on the job all the the time.

Wait... Colton don't make your truck look like mine...:) :) :) otherwise I will have paint my rims black. :) awww I'm just kiddin' ya man!

I'd probably paint them gray or silver (with your black rims) because they end up being black from brake dust and grime anyway. The only reason I painted them red was because I wanted them to stand out from the chrome rims.

Haha yeah I was thinking a grey to, they make caliper paint in grey?

Thanks for the input guys, so I went to Advanced Auto and got some front brakes and paint. This was all they had but I like it

It's more of a true silver but isn't to far off from my paint so I decided to go with it. We'll be doing all this tomorrow afternoon!

You definitely went with a better choice using silver instead of red. It gives the effect of having brand new equipment under there. I know everyone loves red because of the performance companies but even I'm tiring of it and thinking of going a different color.

ramthis9501

Yeah red would've just been to much imo but I'm really liking the silver!
