Anyone do anything special before all the cold shit moves in? I'm really thinking I need to clay bar and put about three coats of good wax on the truck before this winter to avoid the headaches of cleaning up in the fall. I use the Tech Wax 2.0 but have heard it is not really that good. Any suggestions on a liquid wax? I'm not a big fan of pastes.

never used a liquid that I liked. Adams bud......works great. I did mine in June and have been doing my Fukken regiment since then.

and yeah, its a liquid. LOL

I am a big believer in paste......but yeah. For liquids, its awesome.

there are a LOT of vendors for this stuff too, so I'm sure you can find a great price on it somewhere

I know you said you don't like pastes, but I've always liked this stuff:

http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-NXT-Tech-Wax-Paste/dp/B0009U65GY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1349122514&sr=8-3&keywords=nxt+2.0+wax

I need to clay bar and wax the Wagon this fall. Not looking forward to that!

Just put a coat of mud on it! Or you could just use Meguiars wax!

Alright, I forgot to order the Adams and tomorrow is the only day I can spend claying and waxing the truck. Does anyone know of a place in the OKC metro that sells high end wax? I want to use something better than Meguiars but not some $50 bottle stuff either. Suggestions on what to get and where to get it locally?

No worries. Got some information from a local Corvette guy (Jeff Goodman, for you local guys. Yellow Corvette at every C&C) for a guy that sells Zaino products. Even better, he works two blocks away from the jail! I'm heading over after I get off since he keeps product in his car for just this type of situation.

Let me know how it works out for you, because I need something that will fix clear coat issues and really make it shine.

wax isn't going to fix a clear coat issue...........especially if its NEW clear.

Whats up with yours? Maybe just needs a good color sand and buff?

This will sound shittier than I mean it to, but the only way to fix your clear is to re-do it.

We did color-sand and buff it last week and it looked AMAZING for about a day... Now the clear coat is showing up white on the tailgate, tonneau cover and a few different spots... Your probably right Dave. I was hoping wet sanding it would fix it but nothings easy... Oh well. I'll probably get it re-done in the spring.

Trust me...Jesse's truck needs it first. He would probably pick up two tenths in the quarter if he just waxed it and lessened his drag.
