Been thinkin about one, wonderin if anybody here had one. I'm more interested in using it as a primary tank, I went wheeling with my truck and noticed alot of new scratces and marks on my tank.. kinda spooked by it.

What is it? Just an additional tank or a replacement?

Some use em as secondary, basically they're a fuel cell that goes in your bed, but they're dressed up like toolboxes. I wanna get rid of my poly tank completely and just have the in bed one though.

No he put a pump in the secondary and it'll dump into the factory tank

that probably wouldn't be hard. just wanna make sure that the pump in the new tank pumps about the same volume and provides very similar fuel pressure

What's the purpose of losing factory tank?

His original post. He said he went wheeling a bit and found all kinds of scuffs and scrapes. Due to this, a fuel cell in the bed replacing the poly one underneath would be a great idea.

If the new pump has close to or exactly the same specs as the factory one, i would use the new one because it has no wear and is likely better manufacture than the old pump that has plenty of wear by now

My ram came with all the favtory skid plating, the tank just hangs below the frame a few inches and worries me. A lift is in order but it still woulnd cure everything. Plus ditchin the factory tank gives room for a tlcustom exhaust system
